A CrazyMaking Project
A folio of images created between the hours of roughly 2-4 am during the COVID year of 2021, these images incorporate the beliefs shared by participants in the CrazyMaking project of the previous several years. Click on images to enlarge.
Beliefs and belief systems, and conspiracy theories most particularly, represent our very human impulse to find patterns in experience. The patterns forming the grounds of these images are derived from a variety of sources. Some are generated digitally, some originate in “security patterns” that can be found on the interior surfaces of privacy envelopes, and some by simple folding and cutting of paper. These images represent perhaps the most overt treatment of beliefs as aesthetic experiences, within this series of projects.
