Introducing a novel, versatile, and sustainable fabrication material we call Purkinje (PUR-kin-jee) Board. It is available in a nearly infinite palette of colors and color combinations. It can be etched and engraved with decorative patterns or images. And it is available in a wider array of dimensions than any other finished product, from 1/4” x 4’ x 8’ (or 10-14' on special order) sheets to 3-1/2” x 24” x (X)' structural members. And unlike veneer and any other surface material or laminate, Purkinje Board’s varied surface treatment is integral with the substrate; it is not a thin applied material sitting on top of a core (though it can be applied in 1/4" sheets).

Made from the wood of the purkinje tree using a proprietary process incorporating depleted cobalt 30, nutria musk, and pigmented fay dust, Purkinje Board exhibits a singular set of visual qualities. Subtle to bold, dynamic to dreamy, Purkinje Board expresses a spectrum of unique visual textures and sensibilities.
